Commenting #BirdInnovation’s Taz Rose said; “To work with and have the trust of one of the world’s greatest lifestyle retail brands and the undisputed king of trainers is a privilege. We have enjoyed working in partnership to create an authentic esports event, that culminated in two successful open-auditions, qualifiers and a Grand Final that balanced competitive gaming with experiential activities, giving audiences and participants a new way to experience esports.”
The winners of the inaugural JDX Esports event will now become the first members of Team JDX, they also share in the £30,000.00 prize fund and will fly to Las Vegas in the autumn to start their training and compete in the world-renowned HyperX arena.
JD Group Marketing Director Steve White added; ‘‘the #BirdInnovation team delivered exactly to the brief and then some. We have monitored the world of esports for some time but we wanted to have a team around us that was immersed in the JD culture and share our vision for gaming presentation and consumer engagement. #BirdInnovation delivered!”
