Rugby superstars strut their stuff on the catwalk for T.M.LEWIN

"Our players are more used to strutting onto the pitch than along a catwalk, but were delighted to be able to showcase our new formal wear for the season and our new partnership with T.M.Lewin."

Sale Sharks and England rugby stars Chris Ashton and Denny Solomona swapped their rugby shirts and boots for tailor-made shoes and suits at a special event to launch the club's new formal wear range for the 2018/19 season.

Announcing a new partnership with dress shirt and tailoring retailer T.M.LEWIN, the Premiership Rugby side arranged a special event at the UK Fast campus in Manchester to unveil the new suits on a specially-built runway.

Both players modelled the new formal wear range on the night and afterwards they were joined by Sale team mates Josh Strauss and Byron McGuigan, as well as Head Coach Steve Diamond, for a panel-style discussion on the club's ambitions for the season ahead.

Sale Sharks’ Commercial Director and former player, Mark Cueto, said: "Our players are more used to strutting onto the pitch than along a catwalk, but we’re delighted to be able to showcase our new formal wear for the season and our new partnership with T.M.Lewin.

“Like the Sharks, T.M.Lewin has a rich heritage and scores of supporters across the UK, and I know from speaking to the lads that they are huge fans of the new formal wear range this year.”

Jeff Alcock, Sports Partnership Manager,  from T.M.LEWIN, added: “We’re very excited to launch this new partnership with Sale Sharks – one of the top Rugby Union sides in this country. Our focus has always been on providing quality and style and we believe that’s a great fit with a club like Sale, which has many world-class players at the top of their game.

"It was wonderful to launch our new range of tailor-made formal wear with Chris Ashton and Denny Solomona at the event and we hope it can help inspire another successful year for everyone at the club."

As well as launching the new clothing range, the event also hailed the launch of Sale's fast-growing Business Club for the new season.

The scheme brings together companies from across the region to enjoy Premiership rugby and class-leading hospitality at the AJ Bell Stadium, whilst connecting businesses through a calendar of networking events.

"Our Business Club continues to go from strength-to-strength and we're really pleased with how many member businesses are taking advantage of the opportunities to connect through the network," added Mark.

"The Club offers a unique way to build relationships with and generate business from a range of north west-based firms in an informal setting, and some really strong partnerships have been formed over the years. Now we’re aiming to build on this further and we will be hosting a series of other events before the season ends in May 2019."
