Business clothing supplier Clothes2order has been shortlisted for an accolade in the 2014 National Business Awards.
The e-commerce firm, which is based at Trafford Park, is a finalist in the digital business of the year category. The awards will be presented at a gala dinner on Tuesday, November 11.
Michael Conway, managing director of Clothes2order, said: “To be named a finalist for such an esteemed award is a great accomplishment for Clothes2order.
“With technology advancing by the minute, it’s extremely important for us to keep pushing the boundaries of what can be achieved as a digital business, and our status as a finalist confirms we are doing this successfully.
“The steps we have taken over the past 12 months are strong differentiators for Clothes2order, and the success of our strategy has been reflected in a record sales performance.
“We have introduced one of the fastest turnaround times in the industry, with orders dispatched within 24 hours, and we have no minimum order quantity, so customers can request a single garment or 5,000 at a time.
“At the same time, we have simplified our ordering process and have launched click and collect services to further improve the customer experience.”
Clothes2order has also invested over the past 12 months in people and manufacturing capacity to meet soaring demand for its products. Its workforce has grown from 28 to 53 and the firm has spent a six-figure sum on state-of-the-art machinery.
Clothes2order supplies customised clothing to businesses, organisations and clubs for uniforms, promotions and events. Clients range from start-ups to multi-national giants across a range of sectors, including leisure and hospitality, retail and technology.
Judges of the National Business Awards said Clothes2order impressed them with its investment and digital strategy, adding they believe the business is well-placed to maximise global opportunities.
