WIN YOUR DREAM OFFICE WITH BRUNTWOOD WORKS
NEW COMPETITION OFFERS START-UPS £18K WORKSPACE PRIZE
A new competition is giving aspiring small business owners the chance to win 12 months of free office space, worth up to £18,000 at city centre-based buildings across the North and Midlands.
The ‘Win Your Dream Office’ competition, organised by inspirational workspace provider Bruntwood Works, is inviting small businesses and entrepreneurs to enter by writing a short business pitch and submitting it via the website by 27 October 2019.
A shortlist of candidates will be invited to pitch their business plans in person to a panel of expert judges in November.
The panel will include; Ciara Keeling, CEO of Bruntwood Works; Hannah Anderson, Co-Founder of Social Chain; Polly Dhaliwal, Head of Member Partnerships at Enterprise Nation; and Herb Kim, Founder of Thinking Digital and the Curator of TEDxManchester & TEDxLiverpool.
The lucky winner will receive their own all-inclusive serviced office for up to four people for a year, complete with free WiFi and cleaning services, as well as access to facilities such as a communal lounge and kitchen with free tea and coffee, phone booths and bookable meeting rooms, with select buildings also offering a fitness studio, roof terrace, sleep pods, independent coffee shop and podcast studio.
To top it off, they will receive a free membership from Bruntwood Works’ business support partners, Enterprise Nation.
Ciara Keeling, CEO of Bruntwood Works, said: “Our competition is designed to celebrate and support the growth of some of our regions ambitious and aspiring businesses and we’re extremely excited to see the business proposals submitted. By providing free office space in inspiring workspaces, the up-and-coming business will hopefully be able to put their profits elsewhere and further expand their success.
“We’ll not only be providing an ideal physical work environment for the winner, but also welcoming them into the wider Bruntwood Works community where they’ll be able to collaborate and network with leading businesses across the North and Midlands.
“Creating places to facilitate business success is at the forefront of our vision, so it’s incredible to be able to offer the full package free of charge to the deserving winner who will be announced later this year.”
The winner will have the choice to be based in one of Bruntwood Works’ Pioneer office buildings in either Manchester City Centre, Old Trafford, Liverpool, Leeds or Birmingham.
They will also be able to immerse themselves in Bruntwood's community of 50,000 people by joining in with events and social programmes, curated by the Bruntwood Works community engagement managers.
Hannah Anderson, Co-Founder of Social Chain, said: “This is a brilliant opportunity for small businesses looking for a foot on the ladder to help them expand. As a customer ourselves, we can confirm that the chance to win office space with all the added bonuses that come from being in a Bruntwood Works building will be life-changing for the lucky winner and their team.”
The closing date for competition entries is 27 October 2019, with pitches taking place the week commencing 18 November 2019.
