Supported living developers HBV appoints Sophie Stuart

"Were all pleased to welcome Sophie to the team as we expand our pipeline of new supported living and extra care schemes across the UK."
Daniel Keane, senior associate, HBV

Stuart joins specialist supported living developer HBV directly from Salford City College after completing her A-levels.

She secured the role after impressing during a work experience placement arranged by Career Ready, the national charity which links employers with schools and colleges. HBV is now funding her Royal Institute of Chartered Surveyors (RICS) accredited qualification at the University of Salford.

HBV, based in Altrincham, develops housing for people living with physical and learning disabilities, and extra care schemes for the elderly across the UK.

HBV operates as a joint venture with Morgan Sindall Investments Limited, which earlier this year, committed an extra £200m to invest in specialist housing schemes for vulnerable people.

Sophie Stuart, trainee surveyor at HBV, said:

“I’m excited to join an organisation that makes a real impact on changing people’s lives. I’m looking forward to learning from the team and playing a role in delivering modern and safe environments for vulnerable adults to live their lives independently.”

Daniel Keane, senior associate at HBV, said:

“We’re pleased to welcome Sophie to the team and we’re particularly delighted that our relationship with the Career Ready charity has delivered such a positive result.

“We’re always keen on investing in the next generation of surveyors as we expand our pipeline of new supported living and extra care schemes across the UK during 2017 and 2018.

HBV is the leading provider of bespoke property for specialist supported housing in the UK. Working as part of a joint venture with Morgan Sindall Investments Limited, it is committed to pioneering the development of independent living and delivering suitable accommodation for the tens of thousands of vulnerable adults living in inappropriate, badly serviced and often, poor quality accommodation.
