Home builder, Countryside, is educating pupils in Wigan on the importance of staying safe around construction sites, as part of its ongoing community safety initiative.
Countryside paid a visit to Bickershaw Church of England Primary School to teach the children a lesson in health and safety when playing or walking past its nearby Belmont Place development, on Nixon Philips Drive.
The informative presentation was given to all 146 pupils at the school and explained the potential hazards to look out for when around a construction site. The children were also shown how the construction workers stay safe while working, through the use of props and demonstrations.
