A free launch event on April 19, will be held at Leigh Sports Village, followed by a full series of monthly networking events that will be held on the third Thursday of every month, between 9.30am and 11.30am.
The networking meetings will introduce businesses to each other ahead of Leigh’s fifth Business Expo, which this year sees Nichola Howard – owner of Atherton-based events company Launch Events - take the reigns as the event organiser.
She said: “Good business is all about relationships, which is why I started organising expos five years ago, bringing small businesses together, so they can become bigger and better through shared contacts, resources and, crucially, genuine support of each other.
“The team at Collins and Darwell, who were previously the main organisers, have done an amazing job building the profile of Leigh Business Expo. To be able to take over from them in the event’s fifth year means a lot to me – especially as I’ve been involved from the beginning and it is the town I grew up in. Leigh is an amazing breeding ground for ambitious businesses- we want to showcase why people want to do business here."
This year’s expo, which will be sponsored by Corkills Volkswagen, will be held on Friday, July 6, between 9am and 3pm, also at Leigh Sports Village.
