Social Media Success at Edinburgh Fringe

"Comedy Dining host extremely popular shows around the UK and this is reflected on social media. They have a vibrant online community that comment and post photos before, during and after shows."

With two shows a day, 6 days a week in Scotland’s capital they had a gruelling schedule but with Del Boy’s charm, wit and work ethic they were of success. The classic yellow Reliant Robin made the journey and was whizzing around the medieval Edinburgh streets.

In an average year Comedy Dining host over 200 shows around the UK with this being their first endeavour into the Edinburgh Fringe. From acts including tributes to Absolutely Fabulous, ‘Allo ‘Allo, Addams Family and Fawlty Towers they chose to showcase their popular Only Fools and Horses act in Edinburgh.

Shows include a meal set by the venue with Comedy Dining providing the entertainment. The Only Fools and Three Courses show is hosted by actors playing Marlene and Boycie. Special appearances from Del, Rodney and Uncle Albert complete the evening.

With two shows a day, six days a week at the Edinburgh Fringe Comedy Dining managed to sell out five shows in advance with many close to capacity. Social media has played a key part to the tour’s promotion with assistance coming from Preston based social media specialists Lucky 6 Marketing.

“Comedy Dining host extremely popular shows around the UK and this is reflected on social media. They have a vibrant online community that comment and post photos before, during and after shows. We have been using this to our advantage to promote their act at the Edinburgh Fringe,” states Lee Giacopazzi, Managing Director of Lucky 6 Marketing.

Only Fools and Three Courses was showing at Andrew Ushers, The Pear Tree in Edinburgh until 27th August 2017. If you were at the Edinburgh Fringe, saw Del and Rodney’s classic yellow Reliant Robin then tweet a picture to @ComedyDining on Twitter.
