Punch Tarmey's driving live music scene in Liverpool pub trade

"Not only is the venue awesome, i've actually never been in a pub the size of a footy pitch before. The acoustics and the vibe fit the live music genre perfectly."

A new and unique Irish pub in Liverpool, critically acclaimed for its design is attracting a strong following for its live music sessions.

Already lauded for pushing the boundaries of the theme pub circuit with capacity for a thousand guests in a unique 15,000 sq ft venture by Mikhail Leisure, Punch Tarmey's Liverpool is hosting weekly live music acts generating hoards of live music fans from Liverpool and around the North West.

This weekend sees the much sought after Late Poets performing a host of covers from 9.30pm with nigh on a full house expected as the festive season begins in earnest.

"It's great to see so many people enjoying our latest offer as much as the hundreds of other guests feeding back with how much they’ve enjoyed the whole experience so far,” says Andrew Mikhail chairman of Mikhail Leisure.

“We’ve invested approaching £2m into Punch Tarmey’s Liverpool and it’s a professional and personal dream come true for me especially because of my Irish roots."

Big live music fan Laura Hughes who recently visited the venue for the first time to see Charlie Reader perform said: "Not only is the venue awesome, i've actually never been in a pub the size of a footy pitch before! The acoustics and the vibe fit the live music genre perfectly and i'm really looking forward to returning and seeing the Late Poets tonight."
