A wedding fayres business that was inspired by the owner's dissertation at LJMU is continuing to dominate the market in 2018.

Hannah Lomas was studying for an honours degree in Event Management at Liverpool John Moores University in which her thesis was based on wedding fayres and the experience of brides.

After gaining a first class, Hannah had enjoyed the research so much that she knew she wanted a career in events and especially wedding fayres.

“When I was at university, I had a work placement with a bridal magazine and they offered me a part time job doing admin, sales and attending wedding fayres giving out their magazine and registering brides.

“Once I graduated, I worked volunteering for various events and eventually after gaining experience, I quickly realised that I was passionate about organising events.

I decided to set up my own business organising wedding fayres and offering newly engaged couples the ultimate wedding shopping experience and I haven't looked back!”

After six years in the business, her company has propelled itself to become one of the leading wedding fayres business in the North West.

And Red Event Wedding Fayres already has a full itinerary in place for 2018 beginning with the Macdonald Craxton Wood Hotel & Spa Wedding Fayre in Chester on January 28th followed by Formby Hall Golf Resort & Spa's event on February 18th.

In March, the team are hosting two events, one at the Holiday Inn Ellesmere Port Cheshire Oaks on March 4th and a further event at the Brook Mollington Banastre Hotel & Spa in Chester on March 18th.

“We're all extremely organised and feedback tells us that we're a very friendly and approachable bunch! We recognise too that in our business, the three most important aspects are the wedding venue, the exhibitors and of course the engaged couples coming through the doors...connecting brides with their ideal supplier in an ambient atmosphere.”

Red Event Wedding Fayres began by doing 2 Wedding Fayres a year in 2011 which has now grown to 8-10 wedding fayres a year.

Hannah added: “2018 is a great opportunity for us to capitalise on our reputation and what we've achieved by expanding the business in other areas, seeking larger venues in the process whilst retaining our unique selling points and our business ethos.”
