"As an avid sim-racing fan, weve worked incredibly hard to deliver an authentic experience that truly is like nothing else. "

A racing car simulator centre equipped with some of the very latest in gaming technology is set to open its doors in Warrington this October.

Century Sim Racing will be the first venue of its type in the North West and will offer people the chance to test their driving skills on some of the world’s most iconic racing tracks.

The brand-new centre, which is set to open to the public on Friday October 18, 2019, is the brainchild of James Whitehouse and Chris Stapleton, who met whilst working at Team Sport Go Karting.

The duo – who share a passion for racing and gaming – are leaving their full-time jobs behind to launch the new venture, which will be based at the Team Sport Go Karting Track in Warrington.

Once opened, the true-to-life racing experience will give drivers a 180-degree view of the track thanks to three panoramic screens surrounding each state-of-the-art simulator, with the option to add a virtual reality (VR) headset for an even more immersive experience.

James Whitehouse, Managing Director, said: “We’re so excited to be launching Century Sim Racing. We’ve invested in some really awesome technology that will get people as close as possible to a real racing experience – without having to worry about crashing!

“As an avid sim-racing fan, we’ve worked incredibly hard to deliver an authentic experience that truly is like nothing else. This is as close to the real deal as it gets and from pro gamers to novice drivers, absolutely anyone can have a go.

“Throughout our planning, we were really keen to capture the community element of e-gaming, so there’ll be an interactive leader board on our website for visitors to keep track of their progress each time they visit.

“The centre can also cater for large groups and parties, and we’re also offering annual memberships which will come with a whole host of benefits. We can’t wait to open the doors for the first time and we’re really looking forward to welcoming people from all over the region.”

Prices at Century Sim Racing start from £16 for a half an hour session. There is no age limit, but height restrictions may apply.

The centre is situated within Team Sports Go Karting building at Bank Quay Trading Estate, 2 Slutchers Ln, Warrington WA1 1PJ.
