Chester hotel reopens following six-figure investment

As part of the investment, the revamped venue on Hoole Road has received a complete design overhaul, with all 13 bedrooms being newly refurbished.

The hotel is located in the heart of Chester, with the town’s restaurants, shops and bars just a stone’s throw away. Chester racecourse and Chester Zoo are also nearby, along with Cheshire Oaks Designer Outlet, making it the perfect base for a weekend exploring the area. The hotel also has excellent transport links, with Chester train station only a short walk, or five-minute taxi journey, away.

With free Wi-Fi available, and a conveniently located Hungry Horse pub next door, the Oaklands offers a home away from home. The pub menu boasts big plate specials such as jumbo cod and chips and an all day breakfast, as well as a great selection of burgers and pub classics, including steak and ale pie, sausages and mash, and macaroni cheese.

Each room has a cosy and luxurious Hypnos bed, enabling guests to enjoy a supremely comfortable sleep so they can wake up feeling well-rested and refreshed.

Kyle Richman, general manager at Oaklands hotel, said: “Oaklands is the perfect location to explore Chester, with a bustling city centre location and a host of attractions nearby. We have received great feedback from our guests, who say that they love the homely feel of the hotel and accompanying pub.

“The refurbishment of the hotel has really brought a new lease of life, so we look forward to welcoming many new guests over the coming months.”
