Direct365 expands its training offering service with life-saving courses

"First aid training helps save lives and also prevents minor accidents and illnesses, saving time and money from working days lost"
Kathryn Skinner, Managing Director at Direct

Skelmersdale-based Direct365, an online provider of workplace products and services, has launched a range of first aid courses to help businesses tackle workplace health and safety.

The company has worked in partnership with the Red Cross to expand its training course offering and all new first aid courses will train participants in the use of automated external defibrillators (AED) as well as everyday first aid training.

The courses will teach learners how to recognise and respond to accidents and medical conditions which will keep people safe in the workplace as the Health and Safety Executive recently announced that there were over 626,000 fatal and non-fatal injuries last year.

Guidelines recommend that companies with five to 50 employees need at least one person trained in basic first aid. There should be another first aider for every additional 50 workers after that.

With prices starting from £99, Direct365 has four new first aid courses which will provide participants with a qualification valid for three years.

Kathryn Skinner, Managing Director at Direct365, says: “The importance of safety at work is imperative and we want to ensure that local businesses have a trained first aider. First aid training helps save lives and also prevents minor accidents and illnesses, saving time and money from working days lost.”

Courses are delivered in a classroom environment across 170 UK venues and offer up-to-date resources and a practical approach to help deliver first aid with confidence in real life situations.
