Men Turning To Fat Busting In Liverpool Now The Norm

"We have seen a real change in the individuals attending our clinics. Over a year ago it was only the odd male client, we are now getting full clinic sessions of just men. "

Liverpool Lipo, the UK’s most used aesthetics clinic for fat busting, is seeing more men than ever in its Liverpool Clinic, with an increase of 25%, as men feel ‘looking good’ is as important as their fairer counterparts.

Over 2,000 men have visited in the last few months alone, with the top treatment being its non-invasive tummy tuck or man boob reduction, making ‘dad-bods’ something of the past.

Glenn Pringle, founder and operational director said: “We have seen a real change in the individuals attending our clinics. Over a year ago it was only the odd male client, we are now getting full clinic sessions of just men. The attitude towards taking care of yourself and looking good has shifted. Programmes like Love Island have had a huge effect as well as the rise in Instagram use. Men more than ever are wanting to look good – there’s nothing laughable about it anymore.”

The clinics, in which there are two, and three academies across the North West, have not only treated more men this year, but have treated celebrities such as Danielle Lloyd, Hayley Hughes and Duncan James.

Glenn, 42, who launched the first clinic 10 years ago, continued: “As much as going to the gym for a six pack in the early 00’s was a thing, booking for non-invasive cosmeceutical treatment in 2019 is. The dating game is fierce, as Love Island clearly showed us, so men I think are waking up to the fact that women expect a man to look good.

“As a business, our foundations are built on offering safe and ethical treatments, so we enjoy offering a service to make people feel happier and healthier about themselves. Our male clientele is quite vocal about the fact they feel more pressure than ever to look good with their clothes off, so are turning to us as experts to help them feel more confident. We are also seeing men now enquiring about other treatments too, not just lipolysis, including our plasma pen and non-surgical facelifts.”

The clinic is also seeing more dads come through the door, as the pressure of ‘yummy mummies’ is also shifting to fathers too with a rise of 10%.

Glenn ended: “As mothers are feeling more pressure to look great after becoming a mum, dads are too. We have seen a rise in fathers coming to see us, they are scared of being labelled with a ‘dad-bod’ and want quick fixes to make them look as good as their wives and partners do.”

Over 20,000 treatments have been done to date across Liverpool Lipo’s two clinics based in Rodney Street, Liverpool and Hunter Street, Chester and academies in Liverpool, Chester and Milton Keynes. The cutting-edge non-surgical treatments go above and beyond just Lipolysis, including Plasma Pen, non-surgical facelifts and aesthetics.
