Fletchers Solicitors Launches Specialist Team To Handle Extreme Cases Of Med Neg

""

North West law firm Fletchers Solicitors has strengthened its offering by creating a specialist team to handle its most serious medical negligence cases.

The catastrophic medical negligence gold team will specialise in cases such as birth injuries, spinal injuries and amputations caused by medical errors. The team boasts a wealth of experience and includes some of the best lawyers in the UK in their respective fields.

Senior clinical negligence lawyer Sue Taylor has over 14 years’ experience, having worked for Manchester solicitors JMW - where she was as a senior associate - and Alexander Harris before joining Fletchers. Sue will be responsible for overseeing the list of clients seeking expert legal support, as well as case planning and risk assessment.

Experienced medical negligence solicitor James Bridgeman will be involved in the day to day running of cases and will act as the main point of contact for clients. As well as reviewing and processing medical records and lodging claims, he prides himself on offering a genuine and personal service to clients, giving them all the support they need. He first began his legal career after completing a philosophy degree and subsequently undertaking a graduate diploma in law.

Also part of the team is solicitor Emma Jordon, who has specialised in the field of catastrophic injury for over eight years. Emma previously worked at Silverbeck Rymer for ten years, before joining Armstrongs, where she was an integral part of its serious injury department. She will be responsible for all aspects of the day to day management of cases, ensuring all parties involved work in harmony to maximise the client's recovery and quality of life.

Completing the team is Jeanette Aspinall, department head of medical negligence at Fletchers, who will oversee the team, ensure the best possible service is delivered to clients and lead on strategy.

Ed Fletcher, CEO of Fletchers Solicitors, said: “We recognised a need for a dedicated catastrophic medical negligence team, following a significant increase in the number of cases we are receiving. We know what is needed to deal with serious injury cases, and that is a committed team of specialists. Fletchers has always had a great reputation and a high level of experience in dealing with high value cases, and this sub team is an extension of that.

“The team’s wealth of expertise in representing clients who have suffered from negligent care, and huge amount of quantum experience, will ensure clients receive the best possible service and the maximum amount of compensation they deserve. The team will be on hand every step of the way, and will help clients rebuild their lives following such devastating injuries.”

Following a significant increase in the number of medical negligence cases it receives, the Southport firm now handles one in every 15 such cases in the UK.
