Silk Rd has added a third restaurant to its portfolio as it launches its latest site in Bramhall, Greater Manchester following a six-figure sum investment

Silk Rd adds third destination to culinary trail with third site in Bramhall

"Our unique concept combines dishes from over three continents with a wide selection of small plates and tapas, and we feel that there is certainly a market here that will allow us to flourish"
Director of Silk Rd Chris Williams

After enjoying success in both Wirral and Liverpool, owners of Silk Rd Chris Williams and Javier Mellado opened the new 2,500 sq. ft location on Bramhall Lane South in October 2018.

Taking inspiration from the Silk Road trail, which spans three continents from the Pacific to the Mediterranean, the restaurant serves up authentic cuisine in the form of small plates and tapas.

Chris said: “We are extremely excited to add a third location to our culinary trail and expand our offering even further afield to Greater Manchester. Since the Silk Rd concept was first initiated in 2016, we have enjoyed great success and have continued to receive an incredibly positive response from the region, which has enabled us to take this next step in our venture. We’re excited to expand the brand and really put ourselves on the map as a leading dining destination in the North West.

“Bramhall is an area of suburban charm in South Manchester, close to Cheshire, and it was the obvious choice of location for our next venue. Our unique concept combines dishes from over three continents with a wide selection of small plates and tapas, and we feel that there is certainly a market here that will allow us to flourish. Not to mention, neighbouring Stockport and Macclesfield are both known for their historic involvement in the silk industry so it’s great to be able to bring an element of this back to the region.”

The site boasts an impressive 125 covers and will also feature a bar area serving a range of botanical gins and sangria.

Javier added: “The space combines a number of features that make it the ideal place for a casual lunch amongst friends or a large gathering with family to name a few. After months of planning, we are delighted to have now opened our doors - just in time to celebrate Christmas. We look forward to welcoming new faces and sharing our concept with yet more people as customers will be introduced to an authentic dining experience with the guaranteed quality and hospitality that have become synonymous with our existing restaurants.”
