As a day that recognises the Roman saint associated with love and devotion, the Old Hall Street restaurant is preparing to woo couples with its ‘amorously authentic’ four-course Valentine’s feast.

To accompany the delectable dishes served exclusively on Saturday, February 11 and Tuesday, February 14, couples can also enjoy the aptly named Filtro D’Amore (Love Potion) concoction that combines Prosecco, Rum and Strawberry Puree.

General Manager and Co-Owner of Trattoria 51 Toni Karemanaj said: “Dating back to ancient Roman rituals, Valentine’s Day may have evolved over the years, but continues to revolve simply around love. Given that us Italians are true romantics at heart, here at Trattoria 51 we certainly like to make a big song and dance of the special occasion.

“We want couples to feel as though they have been whisked away to Italy when they dine with us, which is why we have created a menu that combines nostalgic Italian flavours with a refreshing contemporary twist.”

To begin their meal, guests will be treated to an Amuse Bouche selection to share, followed by starter options including King Scallops wrapped in Speck Ham & White Onion Puree with a Chorizo Crumb; Parma Ham Asparagus served with a Poached Egg, Pancetta & Garden Pea Veloute Sauce and Garlic Mushroom & Dolcelatte Bruschetta.

Main courses include Homemade Smoked Salmon & King Prawns Ravioli with a Mascarpone & Dill Sauce; Fillet of Beef Wellington, Wild Mushroom & Pate Wrapped in Puff  Pastry with Fondant Potato, Baby Broccoli & a Light Gravy Jus and Vegetable Risotto with Asparagus & Grilled Goat Cheese.

To conclude, couples can indulge in a sharing platter, which combines a varied assortment of indulgent bite-sized homemade desserts.

Toni added: “Whether couples prefer to mark the occasion on the day or make a weekend of it, we hope to provide them with the perfect location to relax and unwind, while spending quality time with one another. Here’s to a Valentine’s to remember!”

The four-course Valentine’s menu is available on Saturday, February 11 and Tuesday, February 14 and is priced at £29.95 per person. The Filtro D’Amore cocktail is priced at £5.
