Delifonseca celebrates eighth year in good food guide

"It is a true testament to Delifonseca that we continue to be recognised by The Good Food Guide who take note of our unrivalled passion and dedication to all things culinary."
Proprietor of Delifonseca Candice Fonseca

Delifonseca Dockside and Fonseca’s Stanley Street make up two of only 10 Liverpool-based restaurants to make it into the 2018 edition with standout dishes, quality and fresh produce placing them firmly on the ‘good food’ map.

Proprietor of Delifonseca Candice Fonseca said: “It’s certainly a coup for us to once again be acknowledged in The Good Food Guide, especially as Liverpool has firmly established itself as a foodie hub with the hospitality scene experiencing a boom in recent years. With world-renowned chains establishing branches here in the city and independent bars and eateries making a name for themselves both locally and nationally, it is a true testament to Delifonseca that we continue to be recognised by The Good Food Guide who take note of our unrivalled passion and dedication to all things culinary.

“Our talented kitchen team at both sites pride themselves on using only the best ingredients in our dishes, sourcing our produce from local suppliers including our in-house butchery concession Edge & Sons. Our Blackboard Menus change daily in line with the availability of the freshest ingredients and it goes without saying that this only adds to the dining experience for our customers, bringing people back time and time again. What’s more, our Head Chef at Fonseca’s, Alban Parnell, is currently working on a mouth-watering seasonal menu for the Stanley Street branch, just in time for the upcoming Autumn and Winter months.”

The Good Food Guide is compiled and written annually, with food experts scouring the country for the best in food in the business with only the very best making the cut since 1951.

Candice added: “In addition to enjoying delicious dishes and stand-out service at our duo of restaurants, our diners can enjoy the true taste of Delifonseca from the comfort of their own kitchens thanks to our unique Food Hall. Here at Delifonseca Dockside, we stock a range of ingredients from meats and cheeses to wines and confectionary – there’s something to suit all tastes as we aim to assist the people of Liverpool in taking part on their very own culinary journey.”
