A former pneumatics & hydraulic salesman has ambitious plans for his new business after launching an oven valeting firm in Chorley.
Peter Truesdale has started out in business with Ovenu, having spent 12 years working as a salesman for Tom Parker Ltd.
Peter, 39, has plans to expand the franchise, once he has established it across Chorley and Leyland, including creating job opportunities through sub-contractors in the near future.
Ovenu Chorley serves homes and businesses across the town, and all surrounding areas.
Peter was recommended to Ovenu by a fellow franchisee, Matthew Lane, who runs Ovenu Richmond.
He said: “After a long time in sales I wanted to improve my work/life balance and be my own boss. I believe working directly face to face with homeowners and providing excellent service will bring greater job satisfaction.
“I am now looking forward to establishing Ovenu throughout Chorley and Leyland, with a view to expanding the business over the next three to five years with my own workforce of sub-contractors as it grows.”
Ovenu is a franchise network made up of more than 100 businesses owned by men and women working throughout the UK.
Rik Hellewell, Founder and Managing Director of Ovenu, added: “Peter possesses many qualities that make for hardworking and successful Ovenu franchisees. I would like to wish him all the very best in his new career and look forward to supporting his growth ambitions.”
The Ovenu valeting process involves dismantling key components of an oven such as the door, interior panels, fan and shelves and placing them into design-registered tank equipment, which uses safe, non-caustic products to clean the oven parts. The whole process takes around three to four hours and leaves the oven, hob and exterior in immaculate condition.
