Budding startup structural engineers DYSE grows with new appointments

As structural engineers and a start-up, DYSE has grown from a two-man business to a core team of seven in less than two years since they launched. Growth has been spurred from a high demand from their clients for their skilled and personable approach to structural engineering from a young and dynamic team. Now based in the heart of the Northern Quarter, the startup has now attracted the experienced Jennifer Keane to the business to significantly enhance their modelling and detailing capabilities.

Co-founding Director Jonny Yusuf said, ‘We’re delighted to have had a really successful start to DYSE. We’ve begun growing a team of highly talented people and we have been serial collaborators, enabling us to deliver high quality engineering to our clients.’ Earlier in the year DYSE were named in the NCE 100 Power list recognising the most forward-thinking innovative firms operating in engineering.

DYSE are currently working on building, bridge, civil and temporary works. Projects that they are currently working on include improving the local rail and tram networks including part of the Northern Hub, temporary works on both Axis and Manchester’s Circle Square development and numerous commercial and residential projects.

Ed Dablin, the partnering Co-founding Director, said, ‘The scale of the fantastic opportunities that have come way in all our markets since our launch has blown us away. We have been working very hard to make the most of them as we look to create a successful business that people want to work for. We’re working on a nice variety of projects of varying scale and form; from architecturally led contemporary residential works to technically challenging works on the highways and rail network.’

The business is clearly making the most of both the rising need for small businesses that can deliver at a high level in the construction industry, as the larger players merge and acquire each other, and of the thriving industry in the North West at the moment.

Over the next five years, the Directors hope to continue their growing success.

"The scale of the fantastic opportunities that have come our way in all our markets since our launch has blown us away."
Ed Dablin
