Steve Morgan OBE donates brand new delivery vehicle to Charity

Big hearted businessman Steve Morgan OBE has handed over a brand new delivery vehicle to the FREE ALL Together NOW! charity health and disability paper.

Mr Morgan, founder and chairman of The Morgan Foundation, founder/chairman of Redrow Homes, and owner/chairman of Wolverhampton Wanderers FC, said:

“There’s no denying the important social contribution that All Together NOW! is making. It is excellent. The newspaper provides news and information that so many people who are affected by disability and ill health just can’t get anywhere else.

“We are proud to be a long standing supporter of the newspaper and wish it every success.

“One of our fully branded Smiley Vans will bring many benefits.

“Apart from making it easier to distribute the paper it will raise awareness about the charity and will, hopefully, attract even more supporters.”

Tom Dowling, who set up the newspaper in 2005 to help raise awareness about disability and long-term health issues, said: “The Morgan Foundation are one of our key partners. They have been brilliant. This new vehicle is a fantastic boost – and is the perfect tenth anniversary present!

“It will mean we will no longer have to rely on our volunteer drivers using their own vehicles to distribute the 10,000 papers every week to more than 150 locations across the North West. We will be able to carry more papers on each journey and will save on fuel costs, too.

“The All Together NOW! brand will also now be seen by millions of people across the region. I can’t thank The Morgan Foundation and our other partners enough for their fantastic and ongoing support. Without it we just wouldn’t be around.”

Tom, 61, was shot and paralysed aged 20 when returning from an overland adventure to Mount Everest. He has spent most of journalistic career highlighting the positive contributions disabled people are making to society.

All Together NOW!’s other partners include Liverpool CCG, Liverpool Community Health Trust, Medicash, Park Group, and United Utilities.

The charity is based at The Bradbury Centre, Youens Way, Liverpool L14 2EP. Tel 0151 230 0307. Email: news@alltogethernow.org.uk www.alltogethernow.org.uk
