The White Company chooses Manchester-based Godel as software development partner

Godel has been chosen by luxury lifestyle retailer, The White Company as its nearshore software development partner to help deliver its multichannel ecommerce software platform.

The Godel team has completed a pilot phase earlier than scheduled, delivering multiple development tasks and consistently delivering on quality and performance.

“We kicked off a three month pilot phase with Godel addressing multiple development tasks to assess the capabilities of the team,” explains Alex Clark, software development and delivery manager, The White Company.

“All the key performance indicators were met a month early and it very quickly became obvious that Godel could help The White Company rapidly scale and expand to further our future software development roadmap.

“We’ve been really impressed with the processes and output from the Godel team, and more than that we’ve taken on some of Godel’s processes and best practices internally.”

An agile Godel development squad has worked complementary to The White Company’s in-house development squads to contribute to an ever-improving online customer experience built in SAP Hybris multichannel ecommerce software.

“As a fast growing business, we have lots of demands and requirements of the SAP Hybris platform in order to deliver the best customer service across all our digital channels,” explains Alex Clark.

“We needed functionality delivered cost-effectively but with high quality and best practice brought to the fore – Godel provides that. It’s been a very simple process for us with a transparent and clear route to where we are now.”

Godel fought off competition in a tender from two other organisations and an incumbent to work with The White Company.

“The White Company made a decision to build its ecommerce platform in SAP Hybris which is a capability our developers have – we could help with extending the functionality and deliver speed for an organisation that’s rapidly growing,” said Neil Turvin, CEO, Godel.

“This is another great British brand we’re able to help scale up by delivering quality solutions that tick all the boxes. Many retailers have approached Godel to find a partnering solution that works long term, some of them disenfranchised by larger partner organisations. I hope our relationship with The White Company is established for years to come.”
