Kuits secures purchase of Wrexham shopping center for Meadows Estates

""

Commercial law firm Kuits Solicitors has advised a private property investor in the purchase of the Eagles Meadow Shopping Center, a multi-let center located in Wrexham, for a consideration in excess of £70m.

Kuits acted for the purchaser, Meadows Estate, a long-standing client of the firm based in Manchester, in securing the center.

The transaction was successfully executed by a large team led by Steve Eccleston, with associate David Moroney leading property and partner Christopher Hardy leading lending. They were assisted by property partners Adam Hymes and Martin Davies, as well as senior associate Paula Hamer, and solicitors Uri Pawlowski, Lisa Donaghy, Emma Nimmo, Anthony Boon, and Tim Arkwright.

Further commercial advice was provided by associates Jan Winstanley and James Wall, and solicitor James Skivington, of Kuits’s Corporate and Commercial departments.

Steve Eccleston commented: “We are delighted to have worked on the acquisition and finance of Eagles Meadow. In what was a significant acquisition of a landmark shopping center, the strength of our commercial property, banking, construction and corporate teams meant that we were able to pull in expertise from across the firm to ensure the success of a complex transaction. We are excited to be working with our clients as they continue to develop the centre.”

David Moroney commented: “This was a great deal to be involved in and the clients are already working with other stakeholders to improve the center, with a number of new lettings already in the pipeline and some great ideas to breathe new life into the development.”
