Cheshire PR and marketing firm shortlisted for major industry awards

""

Warrington PR and communications agency No Brainer is celebrating after being shortlisted in two major award categories at the prestigious PRmoment North Awards.

The Victoria Park-based PR, social media and content marketing firm – crowned the town’s leading small business at the Warrington Business Awards in 2016 – will compete for the ‘New Agency of the Year’ title.

The awards are one of the PR and communications industry’s most coveted and, although less than two years old, No Brainer will go up against a number of established PR and marketing agencies based across the north of England.

No Brainer has also been shortlisted alongside seven other agencies for ‘Low Budget Campaign of the Year’ for its use of a mystery plague doctor character – which generated regional, national and international news coverage – to launch the new Chester ‘Sick to Death’ visitor attraction.

No Brainer worked alongside Chester heritage and archaeology company, Big Heritage, to generate sightings of the mystery hooded figure, causing a social media storm and leading to headlines in broadcast and online channels.

PRmoment judges have sifted through more than 850 entries and this year’s northern regional winners will be crowned at a red carpet ceremony at Manchester’s Hilton Deansgate hotel on March 16 this year.

“We’re proud to be representing Warrington’s creative sector at this year’s PRmoment Awards and we’re all delighted that No Brainer is being recognised alongside some incredibly strong agency competition from across the north of England,” said No Brainer director and co-founder Gary Jenkins.

“We’ve set out to become Cheshire’s number one PR and communications agency and the first name big businesses and SMEs in the region think of when it comes to sharing their stories through PR, social media and online content. We’ve built something special so far, but we’re keen to continue our momentum throughout 2017 and beyond.”

This latest recognition comes following a highly successful 22 months for No Brainer.

Founded by Warrington-based Gary Jenkins and Lee Cullen, from Great Sutton, near Chester in April 2015, the agency now works with a growing roster of more than 15 clients including national brands such as HomeServe, Sale Sharks and MBNA as well as Cheshire-based firms such as CH1ChesterBID, the Cheshire and Warrington Growth Hub and Big Heritage.

Last year No Brainer was crowned ‘New Business of the Year’ at the Warrington Business Awards. The firm also made the final shortlist at last year’s Chartered Institute of Public Relations North West Pride Awards in the ‘Outstanding Small Public Relations Consultancy’ category, and at the British Small Business Awards for the ‘Best Micro Business’ award.
