Vicky King is a mobile professional hair and make up artist and hair stylist based in Liverpool. She specialises in creating beautiful hair and makeup for brides across all areas of Northwest England, including Liverpool, Wirral, Cheshire, St Helens, Widnes and Manchester. She also enjoys doing hair and makeup for special events and doing commercial, editorial, and beauty for photo shoots.
Originally from Cincinnati, Ohio, Vicky moved to Liverpool after marrying a very tall Englishman in 1999. She initially worked as a registered nurse, but then decided to make a career change and follow her passion for make up.
Vicky completed a VTCT Level 3 Diploma in Theatrical and Media Make Up, Hair and Wigs, Fashion Photographic Make Up, and Face and Body Painting at Liverpool Community College in 2003, and was awarded “Make Up Artist of the Year”. Also in 2003, she competed at Professional Beauty in London in their national body painting competition and placed second. She was a make up artist for Estee Lauder from 2005-2014, and continually trained with their global make up artist team, including Blair Patterson and Alan Pan. Vicky was named Top Liverpool MUA 2017 by weddingbridalmakeup.co.uk. Vicky has also been featured as a Beauty Expert inYour Cheshire and Merseyside Wedding Magazine, and has contributed to several online magazines and blogs.
In 2012, Vicky qualified as a semi-permanent eyelash technician and in brow waxing and tinting at the prestigious Chill Out Spa Training College in Knowsley. She also trained in applying semipermanent brow pigments at IMATS in London in 2013 and began offering her exclusive Weekend Brows service, which creates perfect, long lasting brow shape. Vicky creates gorgeous bespoke baby bump paintings for yummy mummies-to-be, and conducts Glam School make up lessons. She also offers lash lift and tint, mini facials and 14 day UV Gel Polish to her clients.
