Business Finance Solutions makes wish come true for Fairy Godmothers

""

Radcliffe based business partners Rebecca Warwick and Jodie Clough have launched Fairy Godmothers Pamper Palace, a one stop pamper party shop, after receiving a loan from Business Finance Solutions, the North West delivery partner of the government’s national £150m Start Up Loans programme.

The newly opened Fairy Godmothers Pamper Palace in Stand Lane in Radcliffe delivers pamper parties for women and girls, from hen and birthday parties to Prom Queen events and baby showers.  The company also offers Princess themed parties for children with nail, hair and make-up treatments as well as food and entertainment.

Rebecca and Jodie launched their business together in 2014, having both worked for well-known cosmetic brands including Dior and Benefit. Jodie is a qualified beauty therapist, with 16 years of experience and Rebecca has worked as a make-up artist for 16 years.

The business has used the Start Up loan from Business Finance Solutions, which is part of the Manchester Growth Company, to invest in and refurbish their new venue, meaning that Rebecca and Jodie were able to move from a mobile business to established premises that will enable the business to expand and diversify.  Future plans for the business include developing additional sites in the North West and potentially franchising the concept nationwide.

To date Fairy Godmothers has grown rapidly, with bookings for parties increasing dramatically from one a week to one a day since they have been in the new premises.

Alex Mearns, Loan Officer, Business Finance Solutions said: “Like many people that Start Up Loans is supporting Rebecca and Jodie have both enjoyed successful careers and are now ready to take their expertise to a new level in running their own business.

“We were able to help them with a loan that enabled them to really establish their business in a prime location and will continue to work with them on their business growth plans.”

Rebecca Warwick said: “Pamper parties have been growing in popularity for the past few years and we knew that this was a great time for us to take our successful mobile model and establish it in a high street location.
“Thanks to the Start Up Loan from BFS we have been able to secure the lease and refurbish our venue to a really high standard, something that we know will appeal to people who don’t have the space in their own homes to throw a party like this.  We would love to expand our services wider in the future and will be looking to explore a franchise route to enable us to grow the business in the long term.”

BFS will see £15 million allocated to new start-ups across the North West over the next two years, creating around 3000 new businesses and over 5000 new jobs in the region. With more than £7million lent to date, over 1200 BFS Start Up Loan recipients in the North West are now running their own businesses, creating employment and economic opportunities across Greater Manchester, Lancashire, Merseyside, Cheshire and Cumbria. Start Up Loans are available to everyone over the age of 18 in the North West.
