EFS.Global acquires Euro SDB in deal

"This deal marks another exciting milestone in EFS.Globals growth. "
Mark Jones managing director of EFSGlobal

Law firm Davis Blank Furniss has acted for Burnley-based EFS.Global on its purchase of Euro SDB Limited which specialises in distribution, logistics and warehousing.

The deal sees EFS.Global acquire the entire issued share capital of Euro SDB for an undisclosed sum.

EFS.Global is one of the North West's largest freight and haulage groups. It currently has eight depots and offices across the country and operates its own UK and European road freight fleet. It also works with selected partners around the world.

Its purchase of Tamworth-based Euro SDB is part of EFS.Global’s ongoing growth and acquisition strategy across the North West and Midlands.

The team at Davis Blank Furniss advised EFS.Global on all aspects of the deal including legal due diligence and transactional matters.  The team was led by Sonio Singh, partner in the corporate department, with assistance from colleagues Jessica Greenhalgh, corporate solicitor, and Greg Carr who works in the firm’s property team.

Mark Jones – managing director of EFS.Global – commented: “This deal marks another exciting milestone in EFS.Global’s growth. Euro SDB is a much respected name in the marketplace and so is a perfect fit for our business. The acquisition will also enable us to expand our service offering even further.”

Sonio Singh added: “EFS.Global is a dynamic company and this deal is a yet another clear marker of its ambition and focus on growth.”

The deal follows a number of other acquisitions made by EFS in recent years including 747 Express Freight, Logictrans UK Limited, RTS Refrigeration, CS Brunt, Horizon Distribution and Euro-Tran Despatch.

Other advisors involved in the transaction were RBS Group, part funders of the deal, whilst KBS Corporate and Gateley PLC handled advisory and legal matters for the shareholders of Euro SDB Limited.
