Sweet Mandarin Sisters Launch First Online Shop

Sweet Mandarin Sisters Launch First Online Shop

""

Lisa and Helen Tse – the Manchester based entrepreneurs – have launched a brand new online shop dedicated to their Sweet Mandarin range of sauces.  The launch of the store is the latest phase in Sweet Mandarin’s development and allows both UK and international shoppers to browse the various product categories at leisure.

The complete range is available including curry, hot chilli, gluten and sugar free sauces as well as oils, rubs, rice and noodles and the sisters’ four hugely popular cook books.

The last four years has seen continuous growth for the business after Lisa and Helen gained national exposure in 2012 when Dragons' Den duo Duncan Bannatyne and Hilary Devey invested £50,000 to target export markets. In 2013 the company opened a 20,000 sq ft factory in Middleton, which at the time enabled them to ramp up production six fold.

They currently manufacture three best selling flavours - Sweet Chilli, Hoisin and Sweet & Sour – and sell to retailers across the UK and internationally. Both sisters were awarded MBEs for their services to the food and drink industry. Lisa and Helen are still running the Sweet Mandarin restaurant in Manchester’s Northern Quarter, where they also operate a successful cooking school.

Lisa said: “We are very excited about the launch of the new online shop. It was a long-time in the planning but all the hard work was worth it. It’s fantastic for us to now be able to showcase our entire product range in one place.”

Helen added: “We see the online shop as an extension of the restaurant. Our vision was to showcase our brand in our own unique way. I think we’ve achieved that and we are now focussed on maximising its full potential.”
