The First Susan Sofield Charity Dinner Smashes £10k target

""

Organisers are celebrating after their first charity dinner smashed their £10k target raising a huge £14k for Derian House and The British Lung Foundation.

Claire, Phil and Gemma Sofield – who also own and manage Bolton recruitment company Four Recruitment, which recently won the 'Family Business of the year’ award at the Bolton and Bury Business Awards – alongside sister Joanne, were delighted with the success of the event which was held at The Worsley Marriott Hotel last Thursday.

Over 170 clients, friends and family attended the glamorous event in aid of two charities close to the sibling’s hearts – The British Lung Foundation and Derian House.

Claire commented: “When our mum Susan passed away earlier this year after a long and tough battle from the lung condition COPD we wanted to do something in her memory.”

“After speaking to a number of our clients the idea of a charity dinner came about, which would provide a great opportunity to raise money but also to network and above all have a great evening to celebrate mum’s life.”

The event was supported by a number of the company’s clients and contacts with sponsors including many Bolton businesses such as Cosatto, Bedford Packaging and Eventura and attendees from Barry Bennett, Crown Oil and many others.

Phil continued: “The support that we have received has been phenomenal, from our sponsors, advertisers and those who attended on the evening, we hoped that we’d be able to get to the £10k mark, but to achieve £14k is just amazing.

The team have plans to coordinate another event next year.
