Purchasing Consortium Hits 4000 Member Milestone

""

Established in 1999, Crescent Purchasing Consortium (CPC) is owned by the FE sector and is the only national education consortium dedicated to supporting the FE Colleges, Schools, Academies and more recently Universities.

As a not-for-profit charity, CPC is completely free of charge for its members and works to provide them with best value pricing on products and services through EU compliant tendering processes using vetted reputable suppliers.

CPC has a portfolio of approximately 60 frameworks covering a wide variety of products and services, two specialised websites and purchasing training programs.

Managing Director, Peter Brewer commented: “4000 members is a great achievement but a far more important figure is how many institutions have continued to remain active members during our lifetime. We are very happy to attribute this to an excellent product, good service and excellent member support”

CPC Chair, David Pullein said: “Reaching 4000 members is something I am incredibly proud of. We are continuously evaluating our services to ensure we remain the most reliable and professional route to market for the FE sector. We pride ourselves on our excellent customer service and believe that our member-driven ethos has led to our success. We are in a unique position whereby we are owned by the sector we support and therefore we understand the challenges and priorities facing FE Colleges”.

Salford College was one of the original 9 founding members of CPC and their Director of Finance, Tracy Kitchingman said: “The College has seen CPC grow from the very beginning of their journey back in 1999 and takes pride in its early involvement. The growth and success of the Consortium clearly derives from their impeccable services and standards. I’m truly delighted for all of the team to reach the 4000-member milestone. It’s a fantastic achievement and further reinforces the fact that CPC offer reliable services that actually work for members.”

The Consortium has gone from strength to strength over the last 17 years and looks forward to continuing to serve its’ 4000 members for the future.
