30 seconds of your time could make the lifelong dreams of dancers come true

Lancashire- based charity DanceSyndrome is asking for people across the region to back its campaign to win a National Lottery competition and feature on The One Show.

Jen Blackwell, who has Down's Syndrome, founded the charity after failing to find opportunities to pursue her career ambitions of becoming a dance leader and spent 10 years knocking on doors and getting rejected.

Now, Jen and the team deliver dance workshops, leadership training and performances across the North West of England and beyond.

"It is a real honour to be up for this award, and it would mean so much to us to win. It takes 30 seconds to help, please vote for us."

The charity’s success has been recognised by its recent shortlisting in the National Lottery Awards: and the project with the most votes from the public will get the chance to shine on national television with an appearance on The One Show, as well as a cash prize of £5,000.

Jen said: “It is a real honour to be up for this award, and it would mean so much to us to win. It takes 30 seconds to help, please vote for us.”

To vote, simply take to Twitter and say: "I am voting from @DanceSyndrome" with the hashtag #NLADanceS or if you are not on Twitter visit the website here to vote.
